The lyrics you'll find on this website have either been transcribed by us, taken from albums, collected from the net or from people who contributed to this website.
The purpose of this website is to bring you a comprehensive and searchable database of all the Reggae Lyrics.
The database is constantly growing and new lyrics are added weekly. Please check the new lyrics
section for the latest lyrics that are added or corrected.
Contributions, corrections, suggestions etc.
We can understand that many visitors will find lyrics missing. Please don't hesitate to contact us. Corrections for an existing lyric will also be greatly appreciated.
Accuracy
Remember that most of these songs never have been in 'official' print, the reggae lyrics posted here are the personal interpretations of whoever transcribed them. Although Jah Lyrics: Reggae Archives takes serious care about accuracy, we can't guarantee that the lyrics will be an 100% correct.
Missing albums
Jah Lyrics: Reggae Archives isn't a discography site. We concentrate on the lyrics only. Albums will only be added when one or more lyrics appear on it. Emailing us because albums are missing is useless.
British/Jamaican Enlish vs. American English
Please remember that it is of no use to send corrections for words like "labour/labor" "harbour/harbor" "Judgement/Judgment".
We maintain to use British English in all the lyrics. The reason for this is that British English is virtually the same as Jamaican English.
What is the meaning of ___ ?
The use of ____ in a lyric means that there should be a word but we couldn't understand or were unsure about the missing word.
If you think you can fill in any gaps, contact us.
What is the meaning of (..) ?
You'll find this pretty often in lyrics: (..)
That does not mean that a word is missing, as above, but instead it indicates a long pause of approximately 10 to 15 seconds or longer.
The long pause will usually be for instrumental sections.
Can I download or buy music on this website?
No you can't, this website doesn't offer any music to buy or download. Please take a look at the links for some suggestions on this matter.
